AMAZING Deal?!?! 16GB SODIMMs for C2xxx

so what exactly is the use case for this if Avoton Cxxx doesnt support it? Seems like the new Lenovo workstation laptop would be the only usable source, unless there are other So-Dimm E5 boards. Registered ram is a pain in the ass.

Not sure if the pinouts and notches are the same for registered memory, but could you use something like this adapter to put them into regular DIMM slots?

I had some of those and trashed them errors, random not working, etc...

Def. not worth using the SODIMM vs just buying regular desktop sized DIMMs for $35.
