Advice for IOT devices?

The wife bought one of those Echo Dot things. Not overly thrilled about making my kids into lazy idiots, barking commands into the air, but hey, that seems to be what is normal now.

Anyway. My network has an IOT/untrusted VLAN for it, so no big deal there. Apparently, though, it's able to talk "Squeezebox" and control my logitech squeezebox devices, which is nice, but they're on my trusted devices network. How would one go about letting the echo send commands to the squeezebox between VLANs.

Apologies if this is simple and obvious. I'm still figuring all this stuff out.

I think you might need an IGMP Proxy, but have not had success with that since my FW does not support it

https://www.logitech.com/assets/33605/squeezebox-touch-fg.pdf most likely is the wrong language but on page 33 they're talking about passing relevant traffic via ports and protocols, do you have the relevant routes / firewall ports open between those VLANs?

Dealing with the IoOT here's some VLAN talk, too. I'd make sure as rand noted above that IGMP Traffic is passed accordingly.
