I am looking to possibly purchase a new server to replace my Dell R710 running FreeNAS.
Right now all my bays are full and there isn't much more I can do to expand the storage or add SSDs or NVME for caching etc.

I try to mount disk via iSCSI to blade server as boot disk, but when even one server has connected iSCSI interface starts to cyclical shutdown.

I was wondering is there a way to have a "golden image" and multiple child volumes in Napp-it?
In Windows Server I used to make one complete install of the OS and programs, create 10 child disks and diskless boot 10 different machines of them using ISCSI.
If not, is there anything similar? :)
I just started testing iSCSI volumes from my Solaris 11.3 server to my Windows 10 workstation. It's working great, and was super easy to setup.
But I am seeing one very confusing thing: zfs list always reports far more data used in the ZFS volume than I have actually created.
I'm in the process of a major upgrade to my home NAS. The server runs Solaris 11.3, with hardware of: 2 x 2.93GHz hex-core LGA1366 CPUs, 72GB RAM (considering upgrading to 120GB) and 32 ports of LSI 6GB SAS/SATA (2 x 2008, 2 x 2308).
