Does megarec work with non hardware raid cards? This is a SAS HBA so wouldn't have the onboard RAID BIOS to boot. Not sure how this has happened to two cards? Is it possible the supermicro motherboard is at fault here?

I have a suoermicro motherboard with 36 drive bays and an lsi raid controller card. Using the mega raid storage manager in Linux I can create a raid60 span but only on a single controller. Is it possible to create a span across multiple controllers either via GUI or cli? Thanks!
