per VM EVC is supported officially. you just need VM with virtual hw version 14 or higher. its in VM configure tab under vmware EVC section

I found new lowest price, vendor name is hisource and on aliexpres 4+2 variant is 43 USD including EU VAT and free shipping. They also have 8+1 and also both in PoE variants. I am missing variant with both poe and management for good price :) Also shame I dont have much use for it yet.

tinyminimicro typically dont have any PCIe slots. Just M.2. But there is for example HP Z2 G9 Mini which has one x8 slot.
