I have a good deal (few hundred EUR) for Zyxel XS3700-24 switch, here are the specs and web page.
Normally, I would have passed but I think price is really really good.
It has 8 1000/10GBASE-T ports, 12 SFP+ port and 4 10Gbit combo ports (24 ports in total)
I don't plan to use it near the main router (I have Mikrotik CCR2116 / Brocade ICX6610-48p there), I mean to use it on other side of network (in office), where I have need for 3-4 >1Gbit ports and 3-4 1Gbit ports.
I was wondering if anyone has experience with this switch ?
Two main things that are bothering me:
- As far as I can tell, there is no option of in-between speeds on RJ-45 ports (no 2.5Gbit/5Gbit)
- Size/weight and port number are a bit overkill for my need.
Only thing I'm not sure about is noise level.
