Yes, on our side of the pool (Europe), that would be a fantastic deal. I don't keep track so well of the deals on the other side... Might still be a deal even if sent with a re-shiping from the US, and even if paying the taxes...

I'm not a fan of HPs but thats not a bad deal...If you look the same seller is also doing a lot of other Build you owns and similar pricing. I am currently using Dell t7500s for my VM farm, they are well supported for VMware and hyperV, for me the big selling point was duel CPUs and 192G of ram

not sure where you get 2x CPU? the listing says just 1x CPU...
You are right - thanks for correcting it. Another e5-2680 would cost around $80-120 depending on luck. However, for the price tag under $ 500, it's a pretty good deal (whoever wants a tower chassis instead of rack).

Yep. I contacted the seller for a quote for two. The calculator showed postage $296 for two - I'd better get tickets for myself and fetch those in person.

Anybody know if these use a standard form factor motherboard? and standard PSU connectors? If yes, I'm wondering if it'd be worthwhile to move the guts into a different chassis.

Highly doubt on both cases.

Edit : Nope for PSU: z620 adapter | eBay I have 5 of those. Bought these for my Z420's

I try to make it a point to never try to put a non-matching brand motherboard in a specific OEM's chassis, usually a huge mess and time suck.
Not saying it can't be done but usually not worth the huge headache and potential of spending hours and it still not working how it should ;)
Just my 02.

Unlike the z820 the z620 needs a daughterboard for the second CPU and it's (8) DIMM Slots. I'd inquire first if this and the custom heatsink is provided in a single CPU configuration. I rather doubt it.

Regarding the 2nd CPU riser card.
Does someone knows if the riser cards are compatible with any booth boot block dates? I mean - a Z620 LGA2011 with boot block dates from 2011 or 2013.

Thanks
