does anyone has experience installing Xilinx Alveo cards on Dell servers? Buying an Alveo card from Dell as I configure a new system (7252 2U AMD) has more than twice the price to buy the card directly from Xilinx official distributor, DigiKey. Is there a catch? Does the card that Dell provides have something different that I should be aware of (e.g. power connector, different cooling, whatever)? To put it into perspective, the price difference buys me ... another server! I cannot justify the premium by any means but since we are talking about really expensive equipment (especially for the budget of my university lab), I do not know if I can take the risk to buy separately and then realize that there are issues. Xilinx does not provide a clear answer, they only mention that the server has been qualified.
