So just how much power does the X8DA3 require? The modified PDU (on the 846) using either the 900w or the 1200W-SQ simply will not power the X8DA3.. so what gives?
Either of those PSUs are more than enough to power that board. Any decent PSU should work. What modifications did you do? More likely than not one or more of your MB/PSU/PDU are not working correctly or not connected fully.
Do you have a desktop PSU you can try to help narrow down the problem?
