Can someone with this board confirm for me that the third lane is actually x2 regardless of whether M2_3 is occupied or not? That’s what the manual says but I don’t understand why Asus would just drop two lanes by design. I also watched a couple of YouTubers saying it is x4. I am hoping Asus made a typo so I can use that third slot for U.2 AIC at 4.0 x 4.

Yeah it says x2 mode for M.2_3 when PCIEX16_3 is in op but I don’t know why PCIEX16_3 would remain at x2 even when M.2_3 is vacant. At least according to the manual. Wish Asus made WS X670 board.

means PCIEX16_3 has zero lanes(disabled) or 2x lanes, M2_3 runs at x2 then(normaly x4)
