X11SCA-F for ESXi 6.7

Hi,
I want to use the Supermicro X11SCA-Fboard for my home server running ESXi 6.7. The supermicro compatibility list doesn't say anything if the operating system is supported. Does anyone use this board with ESXi?

VMDirect Path is mandatory for me too because I want to pass through an LSI SAS 9211-8i HBA.

It has one i210 so you'll be OK for installing ESXi. The i219 you'll probably need to sideload a driver for.

I am not sure if I read this correctly...

Can you say anything regarding VMdirect path? Does it need specific preconditions?
