Hi there,

Just like the title says.. I have a brand new, sealed LSI 9265-8i - looking for an IBM M5016, preferably new as well -

Reply or message me for details - I am located in Toronto, ON

Thanks!

I've got a M5016, I wouldn't mind trading for a 9265 but am a little far away to ship.

Are you after cachevault ?
The M5016 does lack the ability for Hardware keys (ie no Cachecade/Fastpath) which I miss.

Hi mate,

Indeed, I prefer cachevault as I don't have as many SSDs to benefit from the fastpath/etc..

How can we do the swap? :)

Cheers,
Alex

Its going to cost too much to ship both.

I had thought about getting a LSI9270 and swapping the cache on them, and have best of both worlds.
Then sell the M5016 with normal cache

What if you ship yours and I ship mine? Basically - each pays for his shipping - does it make sense or still too much? [I haven't checked on my side yet so no idea what would cost from here]

Let me know - thanks!

Alex, I'm going to pass on this one, too tempted to convert a LSI9270/65 to Cachevault.
Lets hope someone else here can oblige you with a swap.

Keep in mind a M5016 on Ebay are worth a heap more than a LSI9265
