Intel Part Number is FUP8X25S3NVDK

I just bought a "custom built" old server from Goodwill (!) and it turns out to be a S2600CW in a P4000 chassis.

Not bad for fifty bucks!

Anyone know where to get the NVMe backplane for this? Can't find one by part number on the eBay, although I did get a SAS cage kit.

Edit: FUP8X25S3NVDK is an OCuLink backplane that supports NVMe in all 8 slots. Since I'm seeking obsolete equipment, it might as well be the latest obsolete equipment... :)

Wow! Did not think of that. Thanks!

The photos of the packaging are of the LSI 3008 SAS controller. Online quoted price seems to be about $350 shipped.

There are a number of NVMe docks available in the retail channel under the branding "IcyDock ToughArmor" (North America). Four-bay docks for $400+

I have studied the Intel service manuals and see I2C signaling between the Intel drive cage and the motherboard. I have no idea how that would compare to NVMe in-band signaling, if any.
