Hi,

I have an existing NAS system sitting in a tower I am looking to move into a rack environment with 6 TB HDDs. I already have the rack and a Supermicro 846 case with a SAS1 backplane and 8087 cables. It is hard to find a barebones case with a SAS2 backplane (pretty much all just come with SAS1) unless you are looking for an entire pre-built system.

Anyways I'm looking to see if anyone has an extra used one in good condition they can part with. Not sure exactly what the price would be as I've seen these vary widely. I'd expect at least $200 but we can negotiate on the exact amount. Can Paypal.

It is hard to find a barebones case with a SAS2 backplane (pretty much all just come with SAS1) unless you are looking for an entire pre-built system.

This 4U barebones has a SAS2 backplane.
