Have a spare Xeon E5-4669 v3 QS. Wondering if this will work on HP (e.g. Z440) or Dell (e.g. T5810) workstation? It's a long shot but worth asking the experts here.

Note: I know it works on my asrock X99M Fatal1ty.

Thanks in advance.

all real official QS work, even on Intel boards. they are thrown out for driver programmers and system engineers
(yes the QH9B will work)

if you get a system with strictly only up to 120W TDP support you will loose, but that's not a ES/QS thing.

Thanks for the information. Very helpful. I think most HP and Dell workstation (not server) can support max TDP (at least on production parts) but will need to do some research through HP or Dell manual for each model. If I can get a prebuilt one cheaply with low end xeon, I can just swap the cpu out.

Edit:
1. Found out in the HP forum that the E5-46xx series will work in the HP Z440 here according to the person who posted.
2. From HP site, the Z440 workstations for Haswell configuration goes up to 145W TDP here
