What are you Guys use for network / cable documentation or management ?

    Hello guys,

    I wanted to ask you what applications or templates you use for word /excel/ visio to keep track of your networks
    IPs Gateways etc.

    Do you have any tips?

    I remember in the cicsco classes that they recommended solarwind network topology mapper. It can scan the network periodically and export to various file formats (eg visio or csv).

    At some point an application helps but good old excel works well. If you want collaborative editing throw it on share point.

    I remember using Cisco Packet Tracer for network topology, troubleshooting, simulations, etc...
