I have bought a RD640 IBM server and now wanted to purchase some rams for it.
Mind to ask the following;
Inside the server now is a Samsung Low Voltage M393B1G73QH0-YKO. It's a 8GB 2Rx8 PC3L - 12800R.
Now, what ram can I purchase cheaply for this server?
What is the main difference between 2Rx8 and 2Rx4. Saw a lot of sites saying that the data are running on both side for 2Rx8 and single side for 2Rx4. Does this really matter and how fast would that be?
Need 8GB Ram X 12.
Or 16GB Ram X 12
