Used rack for S2600cp E5-2670 build

I decided to pickup a couple of those crazy cheap E5-2670s and a S2600cp. I dont really need it, I just couldn't resist. I was poking around ebay thinking about cases, racks and PSUs then wondered if it would be a good idea to buy a used 2U server just to use the chassis and PSU. Storage will be external, so I dont need a bunch of space for drives. Is this an economical way to go? If so, any recommendations on older 2Us that would work?

Also, since I'm asking questions, what is the difference between the S2600CP2J and the S2600CP2? According to Intel the non "J" model has more SATA ports but the photos look identical.

As you noted, the difference is that the "J" model does not have any SCU ports, but otherwise they are similar. See the block diagrams on pages 25 & 26 of the S2600CP Technical Product Spec.
