Upgrade/flash LSI 9400-16i

Could someone please help me with a step-by-step guide how to upgrade firmware and bios on an LSI 9400-16i? Have found a number of different ways but can't figure this out. I know I need these two, but can't find anything on the Broadcom website or in the files about what exactly to do.

This is dedicated to crossflashing Lenovo 430-16i to LSI 9400-16i for the purpose of enabling NVMe, as Lenovo disabled it in firmware:

This is essentially the same as updating, steps are identical.
In short, this is done via EFI shell, generally the safest way for upgrading storage controller firmware.

I just performed this very procedure like an hour ago.

The firmware file is .bin, not .fw in the package. Current newest firmware:
