I am looking to upgrade my 10G network to 40G and looking into some of the threads here I was leaning to get a Mellanox SX6036 switch to meet the need.
Before I order the unit and assuming it is Ethernet enabled, I do have a couple of questions
1. What QSFP+ to SFP+ DAC cable do I need if I want to connect to an Intel X520A-DA2 (2 x SFP+)? Idea is to breakout 40G to 4x10G. Is that supported?
2. I have some Cisco FET-40G /10-2920-01 and X66200-2/112-00326-A0 MTP(F) MM 12F 50/125UM OM4 CBL, would they work between the SX and MCX354A-FCBT (40GE) configured in Ethernet mode? Will this work?
3. Alternatively I do have some HP Mellanox Technologies Mc2207130-0A1 1.5M Fdr Passive cables. Are these Infiniband only?
Feedback / Guidance is appreciated.
Thanks in advance.
