Remember the Dell n4032f switches I was selling on here? Well I sold one and kept the other for home use.
Unfortunately it's extremely loud. It is designed to push a lot of air, with two fan modules in the back exhausting air. Each module has 2 36x36x28mm 3-pin fans, and each power supply also has one.
Any ideas on how to quiet this beast? I can't find any 36mm fans besides the Deltas that are in there already.
I'm contemplating modding the top of the case with two 120mm fans and disconnecting the fan modules, because I don't really care about keeping front-to-back air flow. That would still leave a couple high pitched fans in the power supplies though.
If anyone has some less permanently scarring ideas for a mod I'm all ears.
