Hi all,

I have a RAID 6 array on my LSI 2208 (ROC). Unfortunately, the writes are painfully slow as they are not cached (and RAID 6). I've been looking for a BBU for the motherboard and I've found these parts: BTR-0022L-LSI00279(BBU) and MCP-450-00001-0N(BBU Kit).

Unfortunately, I can't find a used BBU anywhere and a new one runs ~$200. The images seem to show that it's a LSI BAT1S1P, but I can't confirm this. Does anyone know if a 1S1P will work with the X9DRH-7F or am I SOL and have to buy an external raid card?

I've bought a couple of BBUs marketed as "LSI iBBU09 BBU09 LSI00279", and, together with the cable "CBL-0477L" that comes with the "Supermicro MCP-450-00001-0N LSI IBBU09 Battery Backup Extension Kit", it works, yes.

Batteries are hit or miss on ebay. I got some for well under $100 ea, but supply is not always there. The battery cables / mounting kits are hard to come by at the moment as well. I assume that varies.
