I have an x9dai that does not want to boot from anything, period.
It recognizes RAM & CPUs, does not report any errors via beeps or in BIOS.
I've cleared CMOS via SM's instructions. Reset all BIOS settings to defaults, etc. No luck.
I've tried using the CTRL-HOME with SUPER.BIN latest BIOS on a FAT32 formatted USB stick. It reboots twice and then just sits with a single blinking cursor.
I've tried ECC registered, regular desktop DDR3, different USB ports, etc. with zero success. I've used multiple video cards, tried different RAM slots.
Everything seems fine, just won't boot any operating system.
Any ideas on what to try next? I'm well versed with SM boards and Have used them going back to the old Pentium P55T2S .
The board is part of an open box SYS7074A-T I picked up a while back that was supposed to be brand new, never used (it certainly appears flawless). I finally got around to adding some E5-2670s and have hit a wall trying to get an OS on this thing.
Thanks,
Erik
