Supermicro Trying to Deny RMA for Broken Dimm clip

The craziest thing ever. Supermicro is trying to deny my RMA for a A1SRI-2758F because one of the SO-DIMM clips is broken. The clip was not broken before I mailed it in, so it must have broke in transit. Has anyone experienced anything like this. Of course I submitted the RMA because the board would no longer post most likely due to AVR54.

I've had this happen with ASUS and HPE before. Physical damage looks bad to them. They have terms in RMA saying that you are responsible for shipping and getting stuff to them without damage. I think they're protecting against people buying dumpster boards and servers and sending them in.
