I bought a couple of these for my new colo project:
Amazon.com: Supermicro CSE-512F-350B SC512 F-350B - Rack-mountable - 1U - ATX - power supply 350 Watt - black: Computers & Accessories $139 with prime shipping so you can get it fast. Newegg and Superbiiz just matched but they're more expensive for fast shipping.

The one thing I really like about this is that the fans are included. Some of the really short depth 1U's do not have included fans so I see it as a big bonus. No hot swap bays though which sucks.

New with a PSU is nice. The 350 PSU is 80+ gold.

I actually LOVE these cases. I just built the next gen pfsense box with the CSE-510-200B but this was a close contender. I do prefer the front mount I/O of the CSE-505 but adding two fans costs about $40-50 for the fans and $15 for the bracket.

However, I had to spend a little bit more for the fans/bracket.
The first time I did the short depth 1U with the 505-203B I did the case separately. Now I just get fans in.

Oh and watchout for blower cases. I don't know why but those fail much more.

Nice find on the 512F. It also fits mATX mobos. The under 40 for fans and bracket is a deal.

What hardware are you guys coupling with this case for your pfsense boxes? I'm thinking my ASUS is on it's last leg trying to keep up with my OpenVPN routing as it sits at 90-95% utilization.
