I've dealt with the Server Store, and they are reputable...mater of fact just bought 3 servers from them.. Peter Neiman <peter@metint.com> and Sam Gonzales <sam@theserverstore.com> are the guys to talk with

This is so bad for my wallet... E5-4640 are going for $65 on ebay... and I have a bunch of RAM and HDDs I could fill this thing...

Has anyone confirmed with the seller on the revision of the board? Will it support Ivy Bridge v2 ?

yes, but as many of us have learned, Supermicro's webpage doesn't mention that older revisions of their X9 motherboards will not support Ivy Bridge v2 CPUs. *some* of those older revisions can be reworked to support Ivy Bridge, but some cannot.
