Seldom see this chassis on eBay, but considering the cost of the similar 846 chassis (with decent backplane) and motherboard separately, I think it's at least a reasonable deal, albeit a bit niche. E5-4650Ls aren't too pricey at least if you're going to use it. Apparently the PDU has GPU outputs as well.

This is so bad for my wallet... E5-4640 are going for $65 on ebay... and I have a bunch of RAM and HDDs I could fill this thing...

Has anyone confirmed with the seller on the revision of the board? Will it support Ivy Bridge v2 ?

yes, but as many of us have learned, Supermicro's webpage doesn't mention that older revisions of their X9 motherboards will not support Ivy Bridge v2 CPUs. *some* of those older revisions can be reworked to support Ivy Bridge, but some cannot.
