These normally go for 1300-1500 new, and imo, this is a steal for anyone needing a powerhouse of a router:

2x10Gbe via intel X557
2xSFP+ (SoC)
4x1GbE via intel i350

STH's review of a nearly identical system (same base MB w/ differing NIC config). We've 6 of these at work and have only ever had to replace a couple drives, with no other failures.

Good alternative use - backup server or NAS. Just throw in a SAS card to connect your JBOD's, and you've a pretty stellar ZFS NAS box in a compact form factor, especially if you're solely using it for serving NAS/iSCSI. Mine's currently running in this manner, connected to a could hyve zeus chassis I'd converted to JBODs, and I think I might have to pick another up at this rate!
