I was just looking at buying the 1200W platinum version of the leadex for $200, this is a no brainer for me. Thanks!

Edit: I may have jumped the gun on this one. This design is almost a decade old and is not ATX 3 or PCIe 5 compliant. In particular, hold-up time and transient excursion handling will not be up to modern designs. I need to do a bit more research to see if this is right now my purposes.

Please let me know what you find out. I am not that knowledgeable on PSUs in general, I just had read this one was well regarded. Albeit those reviews might have been old..

They dont sell super flower here so not sure what normal pricing is like, but considering how much these cost with evga branding id expect them to cost a bit under their own brand also.

I canceled my order for this power supply and am going with the Leadex VII XG 1000W. It's "only" 80 plus gold, but it has better excursion (brief over power limit events) handling which is better suited for the combo of 4090 and AMD 9900X that is planned for it.

The 1600W titanium is definitely a top tier psu, but it's very large, a bit louder, and doesn't have integrated 16 pin power for a bit cleaner cabling. I think it would work fine for this build, but I know the XG will. I'll likely never need the 1600 watts, either.

I wouldn't have believe you if you told me they make EVGA Power supplies. I just got it today, out all the power supplies I received til this point, this is the most cables I EVER received. I gotta see if the pinout matches with the EVGAs. The box had some heft to it.

EVGA has used a variety of OEMs for their PSU's, so super flower has done some of them.

careful swapping cables between supplies. While the destination pinout is standard, the source (plugged into the PSU) is not, and if they don't match something could fry. You could test each pin with a multimeter if you wanted to get hardcore.

Yeah they use other brands for the lower wattage and lowerend models.

But its 100% always a good idea to verify with a multimeter regardless, as they could have requested a uniqe pinout even if based on the same platform with same layout of ports and look of cables.
