This looks like a possible PFSense box. It doesnt have AES (may limit VPN throughput) but it could still be a very capable box... and its a power sipper!!

I see there AES NI = YES for the named processor: Intel® Pentium® Processor N3700 (2M Cache, up to 2.40 GHz) Spezifikationen

Edit: I see. There is AES-NI, but no Intel Quick-Assist.

other than size. you can get a 2558 mATX/ITX and a cheap case/PS/ram for under $300.
