STH Being Served Via Optane Right Now

Created a cloned dev environment with the STH main site VMs (not the forums or anything else) and put it on Optane 900p storage in a mirrored ZFS setup.

That environment is currently serving the STH main site pages! May keep it on there until tomorrow morning.

The goal of this is to see whether or not this is a worthwhile upgrade.

For those wondering, in the hosting cluster STH VMs are normally hosted on Intel P3700's and Samsung XS1715's since I do not like to use a single machine nor a single vendor's drives.

I am running a bunch of VM clones at the same time and performance is still extremely consistent. Very cool!

Had a play on the main site earlier, just after you posted this @Patrick and I have to say, the site is just as sparkly performance wise, at least for me anyway

Oh, and that cable tidy sitting on the RAM in the EPYC mainboard pic is uber slick
