I'm looking for something like this:

"+getMessage("iPrintVerKit")+"

But, I certainly don't feel like such an adapter with no ICs should cost that much. So, anyone know of alternatives that are cheaper? The 8-port versions seem a lot cheaper, and I know I could just get 2 of those, but PCI slots are precious in my use-case.

Also, I think that is designed to be mounted on 847 chassis and the standard 16e PCI bracket screw holes do not line up. You can see from the picture.
Could you not use the 8087 cables on this piece to plug into your HBA in your use case?
Btw, shameless plug -- I have both this and 8 port one (CBL-0168L) listed in my FS thread :)

welcome to "shameless plugs" if it were something I needed! :)

but no, I have a 836TQ backplane with SFF-8087 ports that either go to HBAs or to a adapter to SFF-8088, from there, I have cables to SFF-8088->SFF-8088 or SFF-8644 or SFF-8643 (to loop back inside). this is a test rig for testing HBAs, both external and internal ones of various types.
