Finally got my D2607 working and a Raid0 configured on the adapter on port 0 and 4, mainboard ASUS M5A99X EVO R2.0.

Then I tried to install Win7 X64 Ultimate on the Raid0 in UEFI mode. The stick with the Win7 iso boots, and at some point in time the missing driver for the SAS card is detected. The prepared stick with the driver is found, the lsi_sas2.inf loads and shows that the SAS2008 Falcon storport driver needs to be loaded. When I hit the button, Win7 starts to work, and after a while it comes back that it did not find any driver. I tried the drivers in root and in subdirectories, also various version, none seems to work.

The first package I took was LSImpt_SAS2_Windows7_Windows_Server_2008_R2_P20.zip, also tried P18 and P19, no difference. Can this probelm be related to the crossflash somehow?

Got the printout from sas2flash.efi -c 0 -list, that looks fine to me:

Fixed, Windows 7 is installed. Problem was an USB2/3 issue. The stick with the Win7 iso is an USB3 stick, and the MB was booted from this stick on an USB3 port. Worked fine until Windows setup booted. When I moved this stick to an USB2 port, the installation of the driver continued successful.

Thanks for reading, Owl
