SAS drives have 2 channels A (same as SATA) and B. if your dock does not have 2 inputs (one for A and one for B). then the enclosure is only a Side A enclosure (most are). SAS drives will fit. but you will not gain the speed benefit or redundancy of the B Path.

So it sounds like my SAS 2.0 drives should work fine then as they are just going into a hot swap SAS backplane.
