I'm scoping out a short-depth rackmount chassis for a 4-8 drive, 2-3U LGA1155 NAS build, but one question I haven't been able to find an answer on is whether the chassis depth includes the front face/handles, or whether it just measures the 'box' depth?
I'm planning on mounting the unit into a 19" media tower, where the front face of the tower is 21" from the wall. Given the space needed at the rear for cabling and venting, if the depths I see listed include the front panel & handles, that extra inch or so really increases the options I have. In particular, it would open up ATX options a lot better.
