Sata II versus Sata III in server build?

I plan to build a new server. I have some old Lian Li EX33 (I think that is the part) hot-swap type disk caddies/backplane. I've been trying to find out if these are Sata II or Sata III but I can't find the info. I really like these as they are well made and support 120mm fans.

Is Sata II fast enough for a server? I will probably run TrueNAS.

If not, can anyone suggest a replacement?

The lian li backplanes are passive (no electronics that modify the data signals like an sas expander or sata port multiplier) and support all sata speeds

Depending on what you put on these (ssds vs spinners) u possibly wouldn't even notice the difference given that SataII did 250 MB/s which is perfectly adequate for spinners :)
