Hi everyone,

I've got a Dell H310 PERC flashed to IT mode in a Dell R710 chassis, which should support SAS and SATA on the backplane. I recently got two new SSD SAS drives for it, and the HBA's don't seem to like the drives. It says "State: Blocked". Anyone have any ideas as to what's going on here? Latest P20 firmware, I think.

Thanks in advance,

Tried that already, sg3-utils doesn't even see the drive passed through to the OS.

Try using a LSI HBA in IT mode. The H310 is in iMR (Integrated MegaRaid) mode, which can't work non-512 byte sector drives. A LSI 9211-8i is a popular choice.

The BIOS screen you're showing is the Dell H310 interface, not the LSI IT BIOS. Are you sure the flash to IT mode worked as expected?
