Samsung 840 Pro or Intel S3500?

I've had pretty good luck with the 512gb samsung 840 pro - @ 384gb usable each. It's not a lot but it is stable and doesn't seem to throw any esxi latency warnings anymore.

Did you use Samsung Magician to change OP size or just created one 384GB partition? Actually, how many 840 Pro do you use for ESXi? I've purchased 6x 512GB 840 Pro's for my vSphere lab but haven't set them yet... still thinking should I go DS3611xs route or just build nice small mATX-based server.
