I gave my old 9280-8e to a friend who doesn't live locally and they said they are receiving the error in the title when attempting to activate his LAC for SafeStore. I've never done this, so I'm not much help. From googling it seems simple enough in theory.
Does this indicate a problem with my 9280-8e, or is this just user error on his part? I would assume he can mange a copy/paste of the serial number and Safe ID from the WebBIOS.
Is there something else we might be overlooking?
