The SAS Expander is working, it was as I was suspecting the cabel..

I got a new cabel from ebay but it has this grey 6-pin connector on it, what tha heck is it?

They are used to communicate with back plane LEDs.

No, I can get it today or when I move it in the the "media" room.

But it's nothing special there, it's only normal SATA connectors and molex at the bottom.

I am looking for a Backblaze-esq SAS based alternative. If I could use two of those (or the expander versions) that would make the build super easy.

wiring harness

Does anyone have some tips for the wiring harness? What to buy, and a little how to?

Do we need that custom harness. Or do we just need 90 Degree connectors...?
