Good morning,

Hoping someone can help me understand which drivers are required be installed to this board (OS = Windows Server 2012 R2) if I am using it for the following configuration:

  1. Base File Server Only
  2. No RAID on any ports
  3. Samsung SSD850 PRO - boot Drive (on white I-SATA0 port)
  4. 4x4TB Seagate ST4000VN000-1H4168 as basic SATA storage connected to black ports I-SATA2,3,4,5

Reason I ask is that I am seeing some very sporadic Event 153 disk items listed in Event viewer:

"The IO operation at logical block address 0x1d800e8 for Disk 0 (PDO name: \Device\00000038) was retried"

Disk 0 being (I believe) my Samsung drive.

The message is informational as I have tested the Samsung and see no issues so far.

Then I got to thinking - I did not install any of the Intel SATA drivers listed above or the Intel MEI yet. Maybe something here that could stop this message from appearing.

Appreciate an update.

Cheers!
