I have a couple Super Micro E301-9D-8CN4 running Proxmox that are getting a bit old. Looking for replacements, however I'm seeing nothing obvious on the Super Micro website. Not married to Super Micro, so reaching out to the STH crowd to ask what systems I'm overlooking. Here's my baseline requirements:
* Something newer than EPYC 3251, with more/faster cores
* 10G onboard, or can be easily added via PCI-E
* Minimum 256GB ECC, prefer 512GB
* IPMI. KVM over IP is pretty important.
* Ideally 2 x M.2 NVME and 2 x 2.5 SATA, but I'm not stuck on that. Need to mirror primary storage with something else available for SLOG
* Fairly quiet and low power when not under load. They are not sitting on my desk or next to my bed, but I don't want screaming fans all the time either.
I've been looking for some options but not having a lot of luck. Appreciate any pointers that you provide.
