What do you consider "affordable"?

If you wanted unmanaged Infiniband, I have been watching: Mellanox MSX6015F-1SFS SX6015 100-586-011 18 Port FDR 2Tb/s Infiniband Switch which is a fairly awesome price.

That switch is the juniper ex4300. Unfortunately they are still too rich for me to pick one up on my budget. You can find them on eBay for around 1500$ or so

$1500 is. Not that bad. I was thinking these would be around $5k+. How come they becoming so affordable. Most places don't even adapt 10gb yet

I'm still getting these cards for $125-150 per with the right BOs and looking for alternate part #s such as the HP brands via this quick search on eBay: (MCX354A-FCBT,00D9552,649281-B21)

A word of warning as well as I've seen some shady auctions state MCX354A-FCBT (FDR/56/40/10) when they're really MCX354A-QCBT (QDR/40/10) so pay close attention.
