Patrick,

Nice first-look on the X11SBA-LN4F.

Quick question: SM/Intel says its limited to 8GB ram (2x 4GB SO-DIMMs). But other systems, like the J1900 based X10SBA, have actually supported 16GB (2x8GB SO-DIMMs). Did you happen to try it with bigger DIMMs just to see?

Intel didn't acknowledge that the J1900 could to 16gb - but it does. And other Atom line products have supported twice the 'official' number too. I'm just curious.

j1900(baytrail D) or N3000(braswell) should support 2x8G RAM...

the question is on motherboard BIOS, does allow to let 16G RAM passed during BIOS memory checking or not.

I am thinking , SM limits to 8G RAM for comercial purposed that do not eat other model that higher.

@PigLover - I just tried Slot 0/ Slot 1:
4GB/ 4GB - Boot no issue
8GB/ 4GB - No post
4GB/ 8GB - No post

The Crucial 8GB SODIMM is working fine in the Core i5 NUC and is 1.35v.

I think the board is limited to 8GB total.
