Question on cabling for LSI 9305-24i

I'm looking at connecting a 9305-24i with mini sas hd (sff-8643) to the SFF-8087 connectors on the "12g" backplane for the case.
using a cable like below. Is this a supported config and can this backplane actually support 12g if it has sff-8087 connectors?

Yes, 8087 connectors can do 12Gbps. That backplane is straight-through, no expander, so SAS3 should work.
