Ok, I apologize for the extreme ignorance of this post. But Im trying to get back into switching after 8 years of absence I picked up these two in hopes of getting back into the swing of things and to get my home network moving again. But I need a militarized guide on how to get the firmware up-to-date and get the ports talking to one another.
I've stumbled through getting all the ports into no shut and they are all on the same default vlan, vlan 1. But I cant get the switch to ping any of the ports or see the tftp server.
