awesome!

i use this card in my Proxmox server and share it with multiple LXC containers (one being Plex) for transcoding. Perfect for my x265 transcoding.

nVidia Hardware Transcoding Calculator for Plex Estimates

says for plex transcoding be able to do about 7 streams. Amazing bang for buck and don't even need external power.
50$ is a steal, but the 2000/2200 is the best option for moderate x265 transcodes, but they're around 350$ or so on ebay.

P2000 is at least 5 times of $50 price.

For small number of transcode, P400 works the same as P2000 , same number of NVENC encoder.
There is a driver patch to unlock the card to do more than 2 stream.

I used to pickup all the P400 between 60-70 dollars.
$50 is a great deal
Damn , I missed these.

I suspect you'll see more at these prices. I bought one ~2 weeks ago at the same price.

The asking price was $89...when I made an offer for $50...and they accepted.:eek:

P400 is single sot, low power, I used it everywhere that requires a video card.

No support with DDA, I have not tried P400 with the new GPU partitioning GPU-P
I do used GTX-1070 with GPU partitioning , Windows 10 vm to stream videos and games.

I had no idea these cards were so popular. I guess I should post any deals I find on these then.
Oh man @Samir , with your deal finding skills there will soon be enough for everyone :D .

I know that CDW Outlet has consistently had one, or more, of the single slot Pascal based Quadros for sale lately. There's a P400 there now, but its only dropped to $87 at this point. I got a new P620 there earlier this year for $77, and I waited through a month of reductions before I gave in and bought. I saw a new P1000 drop down to ~$100 recently over a month+ of reductions before it sold. So they've not been flying off the shelf there at least.
