Quad port 2.5G i226 Network Card - Which is the go to?

I need to fit a 4x 2.5G i226 Intel NIC into my Lenovo M720q Tiny PC for an upcoming project

There doesnt seem to be many about

I posted some ebay links on an i226 quad port NIC some days ago, but it looks like no one has tried it.

Personally, I think IOCrest is a better brand and its quad port i225 NIC has an Lenovo version, but I still haven't known any further information about this NIC, too.

Isnt Realtek better option for 2.5G ethernet? Considering intels problems with 226/225 disconnects.

I think Realtek is definitely the better option for 2.5. Just make sure to use the latest drivers (or an up to date kernel).

This is old thread, but for future searches:
Opnsense is BSD, and Realtek BSD drivers were problematic. Realtek Linux drivers were pretty good & stable, but most common home lab firewalls are BSD based. I may try IPfire for Linux based home firewall.
