I'm trying to passthrough my LSI HBA to an OmniOS KVM guest on a Proxmox host. I'm having some issues trying to get this working & I think it might actually be an issue in the illumos base code. All attempts have been using the latest available version as of this posting. I have tried with OmniOS stable & bloody, OpenIndiana, & NexentaStor. When I attach the LSI HBA to the guest then attempt a boot, I get:
& then it panics & reboots.
I ruled out a problem on the Proxmox side by creating a regular Debian guest, then passing the HBA to it. That worked no problem & the Debian guest was able to see the drives attached to the HBA. Any ideas as to what might be causing this?
