Hi all,

I have a Lenovo Thinkstation P330 Tiny, latest BIOS 03/24/2023

-i7-8700T
-64GB RAM
-2x 500GB matched NVMe drives

Installation proceeds normally, when I get to the disk selection, I changed from ext4 to ZFS RAID1, it sees both drives, creates the volume for installation and everything else proceeds as normal. When the machine reboots, all I get is a flashing cursor in the upper left hand corner.

The drives are seen by the machine as Legacy selecting boot options via F12 upon restart. Try both drives same effect. Any suggestions?

Thank you!

DL'd the -2 release same results, no errors in debug mode logs
grabbed 7.4 did the same thing just no luck with ext4 on a single drive nor ZFS RAID1 on both, all I get is a flashing cursor at the top left of the screen on subsequent boots.

Does it boot to grub screen? if you got to the grub prompt, did you try to remove "quiet" from the kernel command line? With default option kernel does not print any messages to the screen.

No as soon as the Lenovo logo disappears, the cursor flashes in the top left of the screen, no Grub screen.

Try to install Proxmox on zfs on just one drive (w/o raid), and check what will happen. I don't remember if you can get a command prompt from the installer, but if you can, try rebuilding initramfs

Cannot be done with the pve installer, tried ext4 with 7.4 iso and did see a bunch of errors on the reboot step, going to try it in debug mode and see if I can capture the errors as they disappear too quicly to read.

do you have multiple GPU / video outputs, you've tried to see if the console defaults to another one? can you access SSH or a GUI?

have you gone to the BIOS and tried to enable UEFI boot and browse to the GRUB/SHIM file on the ESP partition?
