Hey guys I am debating about selling my EVGA 980 TI I know I saw the original box a couple weeks ago but it may have ended up in the trash, other than that never used for mining and only gaming 5-20hrs/week in AC room, and I've never heard the fan actually get to an audible level at all.

The price for new and used cards is insane right now, so I'm thinking about selling this and getting a 1080 in the future when prices go back down and 'ok' breaking even or even losing some on the 980 sale just to get lower heat/power from the newer gen card is my goal in doing this.

Curious where things are now due to mining overall.

What's the 'going rate' for the card now?

What about when it won't be as desired/mining changes?

I bought an Asus ROG strix 1070 a few weeks ago. The price has gone up $200AU since then and there are none in stock and no ETA.
Which stupid crypto currency is screwing us over this week? Such an incredible waste of electricity.

Bought the same card, and seen the similar rise, didnt open, thinking to sell it on, and rebuy when and if prices go back to a sane level..????

I sold my two RX 480 4 gb cards a couple of weeks ago on ebay and added less than $25.00 and I was able to purchase a new high end 1080 Ti.

Every mid to mid-high range card is HARD to find now unless you pay out of your rear end for it.

AMD : Nothing higher than a RX560 is available at MSRP, no RX 580's or 570's at all except at over $600.00 each and that's insane.

Nvidia: Nothing higher than a 1050Ti is available at MSRP except a 1080 or 1080Ti, no 1060's or 1070's but some of the older 1080's are available but the performance is really not that great for mining over a 1070.

I just might snap up a few when the mining bubble bursts and they become cheap again and keep them for the next bubble.
